PENTAX will be supplying cameras to record on board images and videos of the challenge. PENTAX is also supplying a set of binoculars to help with navigation and safety. Diana and the Owen Sails loft are making the sail wardrobe for Trade Wind. With help from Dymension Polyant a full set of high tech sails is possible. The Screecher and new carbon jib drove Trade Winds to an 11 hour victory in the 2012 Scottish Island Three Peaks Race. Link

Having met Darrin at the London Boat Show in Januray 2012 he and the Hempel team have supplied all the antifouling, hull care and deck care products. Trade Winds sparkle and slippy hull is all down to Hempel. Link

A low carbon ambition remains so very important to the challenge. Barden offered support in supplying an Air Breeze wind generator and new batteries. Trade Winds will be charged by solar panel and wind generator. Link

In the early stages of manufacture and installation WattchMate is currently being installed in the North West of Scotland, giving the Marine Coastguard an opportunity to evaluate the device and its operations. A Wattchmate unit will be installed on Trade Winds to aid safety. Link
